Emergency call out - Sergei responded to call out within 1 hour and interim works completed a further 2 hours later. Very impressed with efficiency and price. Sergei followed up with a competitive quote for full remedial works which were completed within a matter of days despite being during the Christmas period. Workmen both very professional and completed works to a high standard. I would use and recommend Route again.

BEWARE of this company. Kitchen circuit trips out and company refuses to come and fix the problem. Been asking for this to be fixed for 6 months. Excuse after excuse blaming it on other builders and appliances. Says he'll come and doesn't turn up. Wants to charge for finishing the job he completed badly. DEFINITELY DO NOT USE.UPDATE: The job 'finished' in October 2022. Sergey is a LIAR It did NOT finish 2 years ago - it had not even started 2 years ago! The kitchen circuit has tripped always when both ovens are on. Very dishonest man.UPDATE: Sergey threatened to withold the electricity certificate without payment. Despite misgivings I had to pay because we couldn't get Building Control to sign off. We needed this for the mortgage. Sergey knew this. I had to threaten legal action to get him to issue it. I now have legal action as my only recourse. This is what Sergey refers to as threatening.UPDATE: Sergey pretended to be a customer of my business so he could leave a fraudulent review. The work he failed to complete professionally properly or SAFELY is now being rectified. County court claim coming. AVOID AVOID AVOID

What Does Our House Rewiring Process Includes?

Our house rewiring process is meticulously designed to ensure both efficiency and adherence to the strictest safety standards, including compliance with Part P Building Regulations. Here’s a detailed overview of how our home rewiring service operates:

  1. Initial Assessment: Our journey begins with a thorough inspection of your home’s current electrical system and existing wiring. Our experts in rewiring homes evaluate the age and condition of your old wires to accurately assess the full extent of work needed.
  2. Comprehensive Planning: Following the assessment, we develop a detailed plan that clearly outlines every step of the rewiring electrical project. This plan includes a list of all the new electrical equipment to be installed, as well as a precise timeline to ensure efficient completion of the project.
  3. Execution of Work: With the plan in place, our skilled electricians commence the rewiring work. They methodically replace old and outdated components with cutting-edge electrical equipment. Throughout this phase, our team prioritises minimal disruption to your daily routine, ensuring that work progresses smoothly and cleanly.
  4. Testing and Compliance Verification: After the installation phase, our team conducts extensive electrical testing on all newly installed components to ensure optimal function and safety. This crucial step confirms that every element of your new electrical system operates reliably.
  5. Certification and Final Review: Upon successful testing, your new electrical system is certified under Part P of the Building Regulations. We provide documentation that verifies your system’s compliance with all relevant safety standards. Finally, we conduct a comprehensive review with you to ensure your total satisfaction with the work completed.

By following these steps, we ensure that your house rewiring projects not only meet but exceed the highest standards, guaranteeing safety, functionality, and complete peace of mind.

Rewiring a House London

Why Choose Our Electricians For Your Home Rewiring?

How to Know That Your Home Needs Rewiring?

Determining whether your house needs rewiring involves looking for several telltale signs. Frequent electrical issues such as tripping circuit breakers, flickering lights, and blown fuses are common indicators. Additionally, if you notice any unusual odors, scorch marks around sockets, or buzzing sounds from your electrical panel, it’s a strong sign that your wiring may be outdated or damaged. Homes over 30 years old often require rewiring to meet current safety standards.

If your electrical system uses old wires and lacks modern safety features like grounded outlets and RCD protection, it’s time to consider rewiring. An old fuse box, outdated electrical outlets, and the absence of modern safety features are all things related to electrical systems that may necessitate an upgrade. For immediate concerns, an emergency electrician can provide a rapid assessment and indicate whether you may need rewiring or not.

Our rewiring specialists can provide a thorough inspection and recommend the necessary electrical rewires to ensure your home’s electrical safety and efficiency.

Home Rewiring in London

Frequently asked questions

Yes, it is possible to rewire a house without removing drywall by using alternative methods such as fishing wires through existing walls, but it may be more complex and time-consuming.

Rewiring a house is typically not covered by standard homeowners’ insurance policies unless it is part of damage repair from a covered peril.

A house built in the 1970s may need rewiring, especially if it has the original electrical system, to meet current safety standards and handle modern electrical demands.

Electrical wiring in a house can last between 30 to 50 years, depending on the quality of the installation and materials used.

The number of outlets on a breaker can vary, but generally, it is safe to have up to 8-10 outlets on a 15-amp circuit.

Old wiring itself does not use more electricity, but it can be less efficient and potentially more hazardous than modern wiring.

To tell if your house is grounded, check for three-pronged outlets or use a circuit tester to verify grounding.

Aluminum wiring can pose safety risks due to its tendency to oxidise and cause loose connections, which can lead to overheating and fires if not properly maintained.

Mixing copper and aluminum wiring is not recommended unless done with proper connectors and methods approved for such use to prevent corrosion and electrical hazards.
